“I was ready to stretch my wings and fly into full independence.”
Following her college graduation and spending a leisurely summer with one of her besties, Bree is ready to strike out on her own. After growing up as one of seven siblings and living with roommates all through college, the idea of moving by herself to a new town, starting at a new school to obtain a masters degree, and living alone is exactly the kind of thing Bree has been dreaming of.
However, when the reality of her new apartment doesn’t exactly mesh with her fantasy Bree finds herself spending lots of time at The Coffee Shop–a place where the coffee is incredible, the baked goods are life-altering, and the man behind the counter is nothing short of infuriating. Sure, he might be handsome–ridiculously handsome–but a guy who uses less than four words in the few sentences he does speak to her is no match for the outgoing, outspoken whirlwind, otherwise known as Bree.
It may be the coffee and cinnamon rolls that initially keep Bree coming back to The Coffee Shop, but when she realizes Jason, the infuriatingly silent man behind the counter, is the one making sweet, personalized drawings on her coffee cups, things start to change. The mysterious Jason becomes a puzzle Bree is determined to solve…only as the pieces start to come together, Bree will be shocked to learn she’s falling in love with him.
