Verse & Vine began with a mother and daughter, a shared love of beautiful spaces, a well-told story, and—of course—an unwavering appreciation for the Oxford comma.

As lifelong Kitsap residents, we’ve been shaped by this community in more ways than we can count. It’s where we’ve grown up, raised families, built friendships, and been carried through both the joyful and the difficult moments of life. This space is, in many ways, our way of giving something back.

We created Verse & Vine to be more than a bookstore. It’s a place to slow down, settle in, and stay awhile. A place where stories are discovered, conversations unfold, and simple moments—good books, good wine, good company—are given the attention they deserve.

You’ll find us on Front Street, tucked inside a 1906 home with a story of its own, thoughtfully restored to hold many more. Whether you come for a new favorite book, a quiet corner, or a shared evening with others, we hope you feel what we’ve always felt here: that this community takes care of its people.
